The Wageningen University & Research invites applications for the Africa Scholarship Programme 2025.
This fully-funded programme offers talented students from Africa the opportunity to pursue a master’s degree at Wageningen University.
The goal is to support capacity building in Africa by fostering academic excellence.

Benefits of the Africa Scholarship Programme
The scholarship provides the following:
- Travel expenses to and from the Netherlands.
- A monthly living allowance for the 24-month programme.
- Full tuition fee coverage for the master’s degree.
- Visa fees and health insurance costs.
- A budget for attending one seminar in Europe, covering travel, stay, and registration.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this programme, you must:
- Be a citizen of an African country.
- Apply for a Wageningen University master’s programme before the deadline.
- Gain unconditional admission to the MSc programme.
- Hold a First Class Honours degree with a GPA of 80% or higher in your bachelor’s degree.
- Preferably not hold a master’s degree prior to applying.
Application Process
The scholarship is based on invitation, and direct applications are not accepted.
Follow these steps for consideration:
- By 1 February 2025: Apply for an MSc programme at Wageningen University.
- By 13 March 2025: Selected candidates (about 40) will be invited to join the selection process.
- By 25 March 2025: Complete the required assignment.
- By 8 April 2025: Approximately 20 candidates will be shortlisted for online interviews.
- 22 April – 1 May 2025: Participate in MS Teams interviews.
- By 8 May 2025: Final results will be communicated to all candidates.
