Yobe State University Begins Online Graduation Clearance Exercise for 2024/2025 Graduates (Notice Dated 9 January 2026)

The management of Yobe State University (YSU), Damaturu has announced the start of the online graduation clearance exercise for students who graduated during the 2024/2025 academic session. The announcement appeared in a notice issued by the Director, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Dr. Idi Mohammed, dated 9 January 2026.

The notice sets the process out in plain terms; graduates complete clearance online, then submit specific documents through the same route.

Who the notice applies to

The directive applies to graduates from the 2024/2025 academic session. The notice refers to “all affected graduates”, indicating that those within that graduating set are expected to take part.

Where graduates complete the clearance

Graduates are required to complete their graduation clearance online through the Alumni Portal. Access is provided through the YSU Alumni Portal login page.

What to submit during clearance

The process requires two actions, in sequence:

1. Graduates fill out the online graduation clearance form.
2. After completing the form, graduates upload a soft copy of the final year project.

A simple check helps (and avoids back-and-forth later): has the form been completed, and has the project file been uploaded?

Compliance and processing

The university’s management directed the affected graduates to comply with the notice so that the processing of graduation clearance is not delayed. The notice ties timely processing to compliance with the stated steps; graduates are expected to follow the directive as issued.

The notice was signed by Dr. Idi Mohammed, Director of ICT, and copied to the Dean, Student Affairs.
