Women in Nigeria often face this problem more than men.

This happens a lot in poorer countries like Nigeria.

Not many people help women get back to work after a long break.

This makes fewer women become bosses or managers.

Even people who finished university studies a long time ago can find it hard to start again later.

Zeribe Nwosu Foundation Gives Money to Study Online

The Zeribe Nwosu Foundation (ZNF) knows that taking time off work can cause problems.

That is why ZNF started giving special money called a scholarship three years ago.

This money helps women in Nigeria study online after a long break from work.

The money helps these women learn new skills or refresh old ones.

Only Nigerian women who have stopped working for one year or more can apply.

Who Can Apply for This Scholarship

You can apply for the scholarship if you follow these rules carefully.

• You must be a woman from Nigeria and living in Nigeria.
• You must have finished university or polytechnic in Nigeria.
• You must have stopped working for at least one year.
• You must already own a laptop, tablet, or good mobile phone to study online, or say clearly if the scholarship money will help buy these tools.

Things to Prepare for Your Application

You need to prepare these things carefully when you apply:

1. Write one page about your studies, past jobs, reasons for applying, and your future job plans.
2. Give your CV, but not longer than three pages.
3. Write a page explaining why you need this scholarship, and tell clearly why you stopped working (but do not write any secret information).
4. Write down names and website addresses of the online courses you plan to study.
5. Get a letter from a teacher from university, polytechnic, NYSC, or a boss from your past or present workplace.
6. Show your university transcript or a copy of your university certificate to prove you graduated.

Scholarship Money for Winners

The scholarship gives ₦100,000 to at least three women who win.

Important Dates You Must Know

Keep these dates in your mind if you want to apply:

• 7 April – Start sending your application.
• 15 May (11:59 pm Nigeria time) – Last day to send your application.
• 31 May – You will find out if your application passed, and some people will be called for an interview.
• 1–20 June – Interviews for some applicants.
• 1 August – Winners will be announced.
