Amadeus University Gains NUC Approval for New Programmes
Amadeus University, Amizi, located in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Umuahia, has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC), Abuja, to commence new degree programmes effective from the 2025/2026 academic session.
The approval covers three key programmes: MBBS Medicine and Surgery, LL.B Law, and Pharm.D Doctor of Pharmacy. The NUC’s decision followed a comprehensive assessment of the university’s academic staff strength, teaching facilities, and infrastructure.
Admissions Now Open at Amadeus University
Following this development, admissions have commenced at Amadeus University for two of the newly approved programmes — MBBS Medicine and Surgery, and D.Pharm Pharmacy.
Applicants seeking admission must meet the following entry requirements:
- A minimum JAMB score of 200 and above for Medicine and Surgery.
- A minimum JAMB score of 180 and above for D.Pharm Pharmacy.
- Relevant credit passes in SSCE or NECO in required subjects.
Prospective candidates are expected to apply through the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) and change their choice of university and course of study to Amadeus University.
Admissions are also ongoing for 19 other accredited courses available on the university’s official portal at amadeus.edu.ng.
