ATBU Reopens Admission Portal and Screening 2025

Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, has announced the reopening of its admission portal for the physical screening of prospective students. This update follows the recent extension of the admission exercise for public universities by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
According to a statement released by the Registrar, Kabiru Garba Aminu, on 3 November 2025, the reopening aims to accommodate candidates who have yet to complete their admission procedures or make necessary updates to their applications.
ATBU Physical Screening Details
The management of ATBU confirmed that all eligible candidates can complete their screening between 3 and 10 November 2025. The process will take place at the NCC Building, Gubi Campus, located along Ningi–Kano Road, Bauchi.
During this period, applicants will also be allowed to change their course preferences, except for programmes with capacity limits. The excluded courses include:
- Medicine (MBBS)
- Nursing
- Public Health
- Veterinary Medicine
- Architecture
- Quantity Surveying
- Civil Engineering
- Computer and Communications Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Biochemistry
- Microbiology
- Computer Science
The screening exercise is part of ATBU’s efforts to ensure all qualified candidates are given fair consideration for admission into the 2025/2026 academic session.
Guidance for ATBU Candidates
Applicants are encouraged to arrive early at the venue with all required documents, including their JAMB slips, O’Level results, and evidence of application payment. Proper organisation and compliance with university procedures will help make the screening process smooth and efficient.
