Babcock University Gets NUC Approval for New Programmes
Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) has authorised Babcock University to launch six new undergraduate programmes leading to Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Engineering degrees.
Two new schools—Environmental Studies and Engineering—house the programmes.
Babcock University has been granted approval by the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) to launch six (6) new undergraduate academic programmes commencing with the 2022/2023 academic session, leading to the award of Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Engineering degrees.
The new schools are the School of Environmental Studies and the School of Engineering.
These are the new academic programmes that have been introduced: 1, Architecture; 2, Estate Management; 3, Electrical and Electronics Engineering; 4, Mechanical Engineering Engineering; 5, Civil Engineering Engineering; and 6, Computer Engineering Engineering.
The NUC also granted the University’s request to begin Postgraduate Diploma and Master’s Degree programmes in Social Work.
Babcock University was the first private university in Nigeria to open its doors in 1999, and it has continually provided seamless academic activities and a suitable learning atmosphere.
It now contains two colleges, eleven schools, and a Teaching Hospital (BUTH).
