COELS Nguru admission 2025/2026: certificate and diploma

College of Education and Legal Studies (COELS), Nguru, Yobe State, through the newly established COELS Innovations and Consultancy Services, has opened applications for admission into professional and certificate programmes.

The offer covers different units; candidates can pick a course, submit the Form online, then follow the stated schedule.

• Professional Diploma in Cyber Security – 9 months

• Certificate in Cyber Security – 3 months
• Certificate in Computer Applications and Digital Literacy – 3 months
• Certificate in Computer Applications (Arabic Medium) – 3 months

Directorate of Continuing Education

• Advanced Diploma in Legal Studies – 9 months
• Advanced Diploma in Public Administration – 9 months
• Advanced Diploma in Local Government Administration – 9 months

Centre for Qur’anic Studies and Almajiri Education Advancement

• Advanced Diploma in Qur’anic Science – 9 months

Admission requirements

COELS listed the entry requirements by programme type (simple, clear, and fixed):

Certificate programmes

• Minimum of SSCE (NECO, WAEC, NABTEC, NBAIS)
• Exception: Qur’anic Studies programmes require excellent Qur’anic memorisation, basic Arabic proficiency, and an oral interview

Professional Diploma programmes

• Minimum of SSCE with relevant post-secondary school experience

Advanced Diploma programmes

• Minimum of a Diploma certificate

The application process is online; candidates should enter their details carefully (names and programme choice especially).

Application payment

COELS set the charges as follows:

• N2,000 for Certificate and Professional Diploma programmes
• N3,000 for Advanced Diploma programmes

Days and time for lectures

COELS stated the lecture days and time for classes:

• Friday: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Time is time; candidates who register should plan around the schedule.
