Under the Renewed Hope education agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the Federal Ministry of Education has announced the start of applications for admission into Federal Technical Colleges across Nigeria.
The Ministry said the plan centres on free, skills-driven education; with technical and vocational training for Nigerian youths (practical work, not talk).
What the Ministry announced
The Federal Ministry of Education opened applications into Federal Technical Colleges nationwide. The Ministry linked the move to skills-based learning for young Nigerians; technical training, vocational lessons, hands-on study.
Minister’s statement
The Honourable Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, spoke on the announcement and said:
“I am proud to announce the opening of applications into Federal Technical Colleges across Nigeria – advancing free, skills-driven education for our youths.”
Key dates for NCEE registration and examination
Registration for the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) into these colleges will run on these dates:
- Registration opens: Monday, 26 January 2026
- Registration closes: Sunday, 24 May 2026
- Entrance examination: Saturday, 6 Jun 2026 (nationwide)
Those dates set the window; candidates should track them closely, and keep their own records straight.
Who can apply
Prospective candidates aged between 13 and 20 years can submit applications for admission into Federal Technical Colleges.
