FUGASHUA Academic Calendar 2025/2026

Federal University Gashua (FUGASHUA) has released the academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The schedule covers all major academic and administrative activities for both the first and second semesters. Students are advised to read through carefully and keep dates in mind, missing one week can cause plenty stress later.
The calendar affects returning students, fresh students, and staff. From registration to exams and breaks, everything has been placed on the timetable already.

First Semester 2025/2026 Academic Session
- Mon. 12 Jan – Fri. 23 Jan 2026: Resumption and registration for new and returning students (2 weeks)
- Mon. 26 Jan – Fri. 30 Jan 2026: Late registration for all students (1 week)
- Thu. 29 Jan 2026: Senate meeting (1 day)
- Mon. 19 Jan – Sat. 14 Apr 2026: Lectures for all students (8 weeks)
- Mon. 9 Feb – Sat. 14 Feb 2026: Add and drop period (1 week)
- Tue. 24 Feb – Wed. 25 Feb 2026: Matriculation and orientation for fresh students (2 days)
- Thu. 26 Feb 2026: Senate meeting (1 day)
- Mon. 16 Mar – Sun. 22 Mar 2026: Mid-semester break and Eid el Fitr (1 week)
- Mon. 23 Mar – Sat. 18 Apr 2026: Continuation of lectures (4 weeks)
- Fri. 3 Apr – Mon. 6 Apr 2026: Good Friday and Easter Monday break (4 days)
- Thu. 26 Mar 2026: Senate meeting (1 day)
- Mon. 20 Apr – Sat. 25 Apr 2026: Revision and display of continuous assessment results (1 week)
- Mon. 27 Apr – Sat. 2 May 2026: GST and ESP exams for all students (1 week)

- Mon. 4 May – Sat. 16 May 2026: First semester examinations (2 weeks)
