Overview of FUTD 2025/2026 admission list

The management of the Federal University of Transportation, Daura has shared the current admission list for 2025/2026.

All applicants who chose the university are expected to check their status on the JAMB CAPS portal. No separate list is shared on the school site at this stage. CAPS is the main place to confirm if an admission offer is ready.

How to check FUTD admission status on JAMB CAPS

Students can check their admission status for FUTD on the JAMB CAPS portal through the JAMB e-Facility page.

  1. Visit the JAMB e-Facility portal.
  2. Log in with your JAMB username and password.
  3. Scroll down and select the option that says Check Admission Status.
  4. Click on Access my CAPS.
  5. Click on Admission Status to see if you have been offered admission into FUTD.

Students should check this page often, as their status can move from one stage to another.

JAMB CAPS admission messages and what they mean

On CAPS, students may see one of several messages. Each one has a clear meaning.

  1. ADMISSION OFFERED
    • JAMB has approved your admission.
    • You can now accept or reject the offer on the CAPS portal.
  2. ADMISSION IN PROGRESS (AIP)
    • The university has looked at your application and sent your name for admission.
    • Your name is waiting for final approval from the Head of the university and then JAMB.
  3. RECOMMENDED
    • The university has picked you for admission.
    • JAMB still needs to check your details to be sure all conditions are met.
  4. NOT ADMITTED
    • You have not been picked for admission at this time.
    • This may be because the school list is still loading or your application is still under review.
  5. PENDING
    • Your application is still under review.
    • A clear decision has not been taken yet.

Students should stay calm when they see any of these messages, as some of them can change with time.

How to accept or reject your admission offer

Once CAPS shows ADMISSION OFFERED, students must take action.

There are two main ways to accept or reject the offer:

  1. Through biometrics at a JAMB CBT centre
  2. By SMS
    • Use the phone number you registered with JAMB.
    • Send the word ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019.
    • Make sure you have at least N50 on your main account balance.
    • JAMB does not charge this fee from borrowed airtime or Xtra Credit.

Students should keep a record of the action they take, so they can explain their status if asked later.

Printing your JAMB admission letter

After accepting the offer, the next step is to print the JAMB Admission Letter.

  1. Go to the JAMB Admission Letter printing page.
  2. Log in with your JAMB details.
  3. Follow the prompts to pay the required fee.
  4. Print your JAMB Admission Letter and keep several copies safe.

This letter is needed during screening and registration at the university.

Fixing phone display problems on CAPS

Some students use phones to check CAPS and may not see all the options. They may see only a welcome page.

To view the full CAPS page on a phone:

  2. Open the JAMB CAPS page after logging in.
  3. Tap the menu button in Chrome.
  4. Select the option to request desktop site.
