FUTD announces semester break dates
The Federal University of Transportation, Daura has confirmed the start of its semester break, following the school’s approved academic calendar.
A short notice released by university management says the campus will close from Monday, 22 December 2025 to Sunday, 4 January 2026. The pause is meant to give both students and staff time to spend the festive period with family and friends, which many had been asking about.
The same notice makes it clear that workers on essential services are not part of the break. Those staff members are expected to keep to their normal duty schedules, as usual.
Management also said that lectures and other academic activities will begin again on Monday, 5 January 2026. Students are advised to plan travel and personal activities with this resumption date in mind, so nobody gets caught off guard.
In a friendly message to the campus community, the university sent seasonal greetings and wished everyone a happy celebration period and a prosperous New Year 2026. The update carries the signature of the Registrar, Umar Faruk Bayu, and appears in the FUTD Special Bulletin, Volume 2, Number 24. Some students already shared the news across group chats, so word has spread fast.
