The National Examinations Council will hold the 2025 National Gifted Examination on Saturday 31 May 2025.
The exam is for entry into JSS 1 at the Federal Government Academy Suleja in Niger State.
This academy is for gifted pupils from across the country.
Each pupil who passes the exam joins the school with full government support.
The support covers tuition, feeding, exams, uniforms, books, and hostel.

Meet the Eligibility Rule
Only pupils in the final year of primary school may apply.
Each pupil must not be older than 11 years by December 2025.
Know the Online Registration Process
Registration is done on the NECO official portal.
The fee is ₦5,940 per candidate.
Each entry must follow these steps:
- Go to gifted.neco.gov.ng.
- Open an account using a phone number and email address.
- Check your email and activate the account.
- Pay using one of these options:

- Internet banking
- Wallet
- eNaira

- Fill in the pupil’s biodata.
- Upload a passport photo.
- Print the photocard.
Bank transfer should not be used.

There are two papers in the test.
Each paper has two parts.
Paper I contains
- Part A: Mathematics and Basic Science and Technology
- Part B: English Studies and National Values Education
Paper II contains
- Part A: Quantitative and Vocational Aptitude
