CBT Practice Apps for Candidates

Parents/Guardians who want structured practice can use the myschoolgist Common Entrance CBT apps:

Age Requirement and Eligibility

Only pupils in their final year of primary school can register.

Each pupil must be at least 10 years old by September 2026.

That age rule is not optional; NECO ties eligibility to it.

Registration Is Online Only

Registration runs online, and each candidate must be entered through the NECO NCEE portal.

NCEE Registration Steps (Online)

NECO’s flow is straightforward (still, small mistakes can linger):

  1. Open the registration site
  2. Create an account using a phone number and email
  3. Check email and activate the account
  4. Pick one of the listed payment methods
  5. Enter the candidate’s details
  6. Upload a passport-size photo
  7. Print the photocard

For the full walkthrough, NECO also provides a step-by-step NCEE registration guide.

Registration Fee and Payment Methods

The registration fee is N5,940 per pupil.

Payment is made only on the portal, using any of these options:

Bank transfer is not accepted.

After Registration: What Candidates Cannot Change

After registration, a candidate cannot:

If a candidate selects a school that is already full, NECO may post the candidate to another school. It can feel sudden, but that is the stated outcome.

Exam Format and Subjects

The assessment has two papers; each paper has two parts.

Choosing Six Federal Unity Colleges (One Per Zone)
