Ogun State Schools Mid-Term Break 2025/2026
The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Ogun State, has announced the official schedule for the First Term 2025/2026 mid-term holiday. All public and private primary and secondary schools, as well as Government Technical Colleges across Ogun State, are to proceed on a two-day mid-term break from Thursday, 30 October to Friday, 31 October 2025.
According to the statement issued by Professor Abayomi A. Arigbabu, the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, this schedule applies to all approved schools operating under the ministry’s supervision.
Ogun State Open Day and Resumption Schedule
Before the holiday begins, Open Day activities will hold in all public and private schools on Wednesday, 29 October 2025. This gives parents and guardians the opportunity to meet teachers and discuss their children’s progress.
After the short break, schools across Ogun State are expected to resume full academic activities on Monday, 3 November 2025. The ministry encourages punctual resumption to maintain the academic calendar for the term.
Ministry’s Advisory to Parents and Guardians
The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology advises all parents and guardians to care properly for their wards during the mid-term break. Families are encouraged to ensure students make productive use of the short holiday and return to school well-prepared for continued learning.
Professor Abayomi A. Arigbabu, Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, expressed appreciation for the cooperation of school administrators, teachers, parents, and students across Ogun State in maintaining a smooth academic schedule.
