UNILAG Update on 2025/2026 Admission Exercise
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has issued an important update for candidates taking part in the 2025/2026 admission exercise. The management has stated that some applicants who did not meet the required cut-off marks for their first-choice courses have been considered for alternative programmes within the university.
All affected candidates are advised to check their Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portals starting from Monday, 27 October 2025, to review the new offers. Candidates must either ACCEPT or REJECT the new courses offered to them within 24 hours of receiving the notification through the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
Important Instructions for UNILAG Admission Candidates
- Check JAMB CAPS frequently – Candidates should log in regularly to their JAMB profiles to monitor admission status and promptly respond to any new offer.
- Act within 24 hours – Once notified of a new placement, candidates must take action within the specified timeframe to allow UNILAG to continue processing admissions.
- Avoid forfeiture – Failure to respond to the offer within 24 hours will automatically lead to loss of admission for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Applicants are reminded that prompt response through JAMB CAPS is a key part of completing the UNILAG admission process.
UNILAG’s Message to Prospective Students
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) continues to maintain transparent admission procedures that give qualified applicants fair chances across all programmes. Candidates are encouraged to keep track of updates on the UNILAG website and their JAMB CAPS dashboard to avoid missing out on available opportunities.
