UCH Ibadan HND Admission Form 2024/2025

The School of Health Information Management (SHIM), University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, has begun the sale of application forms for its Higher National Diploma (HND) programme for the 2024/2025 academic session. This article provides detailed information on the eligibility requirements and the application process for the UCH Ibadan SHIM HND programme.

Programme Overview

The Two-Year Higher National Diploma (HND) Programme in Health Information Management is scheduled to commence in September 2024. The course is non-residential and provides an advanced level of training for students in the field of Health Information Management.

Eligibility for UCH Ibadan SHIM HND Programme

Candidates will be selected based on good academic qualifications, excellent performance in the computer-based test (CBT), and oral interview, along with the presentation of relevant ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES.

It is important to note that ONLY candidates with a MERIT or PASS in National Diploma (ND) should apply and they MUST have an ND practicing license or at least 3 years of working experience.

The Computer Based Test (CBT) for HND will cover the following subjects:

1. Health Records Management
2. Anatomy and Physiology
3. Clinical Coding
4. Biostatistics
5. Computer Science
6. Health Planning Management

Please note that pregnancy is not allowed during the training. Furthermore, selected candidates will be required to undergo and pass a medical examination after admission.

Application Process

Starting Monday, 27th May 2024, you can get the application form through the UCH SCHOOLS PORTAL at https://portal.uch-ibadan.org.ng. Follow these steps to apply:

1. Go to https://portal.uch-ibadan.org.ng and click the REMITA PAYMENT button to pay.
2. After paying, sign up with your RRR, email, and password used for the payment.
3. Log in with your email and password to continue the online application.
4. Download the Applicants User Guide from the portal at https://portal.uch-ibadan.org.ng.
5. Follow the instructions in the User Guide to enter your information and submit your application online.
6. Print 2 copies of your form and photocard, and bring them to the examination center on the exam day.
7. Pay an additional Five Hundred Naira (N500.00) into the Health Information Managers Association of Nigeria account, Union Bank, UCH Branch, Account no: 0000207307.

Screening and Interview Process

The dates for the screening exercise for the HND programme will be communicated to applicants via their email addresses. Successful applicants will also be notified for an oral interview at a later date through text messages and updates on the School’s website.
