Table of contents
What can you study?
Let’s not sugarcoat it: the list is long. And to be honest, some of the names sound like they were pulled from a textbook. But don’t be scared off. Behind the fancy words are real-world skills folks actually use.
Here’s a quick peek at the courses:
- Corporate Governance and Ethics (sounds serious, yeah?)
- Capital Market Operations and Share Registration
- Portfolio Management and Analysis
- Migration Studies (maybe useful if you’re planning to japa?)
- Civil Defence Studies
- Leadership Studies
- Forensic Analysis
- Forensic Accounting (CSI meets spreadsheets)
- Financial Economics
- Estate Management
- Supply Chain, Logistic and Procurement Management
- IT and Internet of Things (IoT) Management
- Tax Planning and Management
- Agribusiness Management
- Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Management
- Management of Contemporary Issues and Legal Risk
- Media Risk Management
It’s a bit of a mouthful, sure. But it’s also a buffet. Take your pick.
Alright, how do you apply?
I know, filling out forms online can feel like wrestling a goat. But this one’s mostly pain-free. Here’s how it goes:
- Go to the UNIABUJA portal.
- Click the big link that says Apply Now.
- Pick “Business School Certificate Programme” from the list.
- Type in your basic info — surname, first name, other names (if you’ve got any), email and phone number — then hit Next.
- You’ll land on the payment preview page. Click Generate RRR.
- Tap on Make Payment. It’ll send you to the Remita page.
- Pay with your card (Visa or MasterCard only, don’t try Verve).
- Once payment goes through, the site throws you back to the portal, gives you an application number, and logs you out. Rude but okay.
- Now, click Main Login, punch in your new application number and use your surname as the password. That’s how you get back in to complete the form.
So, when’s the deadline?
They’re closing the gate on 30 September 2025. That gives you enough time, but don’t be that person waiting till the very last night with shoddy network and 3% battery.
