COASTLAFIA PGD Admission Form 2026/2027

College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Lafia, has opened its Postgraduate Diploma admission form for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The PGD admission is for candidates who want further study in agriculture and related fields, subject to the stated O'Level, degree, HND or Academic Board-approved qualification requirements.

Which PGD Courses Are Available at COASTLAFIA?

The College has listed the following Postgraduate Diploma courses:

• Agricultural Economics
• Agricultural Extension and Communication
• Agronomy, with option in Crop Protection
• Agronomy, with option in Crop Science
• Agronomy, with option in Soil and Water Management
• Animal Science
• Aquaculture and Fisheries Management
• Home Science and Management

Candidates should choose the course that matches their previous qualification and intended area of postgraduate study.

Who Can Apply for COASTLAFIA PGD Admission?

Candidates may apply if they meet the O'Level requirement and one of the higher qualification routes stated by the College.

The PGD admission routes include a third class degree in a relevant field, HND Upper Credit in Agriculture or a related area, HND Lower Credit with relevant work experience or another qualification accepted by the Academic Board.

What O'Level Results Are Required?

Applicants must have five O'Level credits in not more than two sittings.

The required subjects are:

• Mathematics
• English Language
• Biology or Agricultural Science
• Chemistry
• Physics

Candidates should check the subject list before starting the online application, since the five subjects form part of the basic admission requirement.

What Degree or HND Qualifications Are Accepted?

A candidate with a third class degree in a relevant field from any recognised university may apply.

An HND holder with Upper Credit in Agriculture or a related field may also apply, while an HND holder with Lower Credit may be considered where useful work experience is available.

Can Other Qualifications Be Considered?

Other acceptable qualifications may be considered where the Academic Board approves them.

This route applies to candidates whose qualifications fall outside the listed degree and HND routes, but still meet the standard approved by the College.

How Much Is the COASTLAFIA PGD Application Fee?

The application fee is N20,000.

Payment will be made through the application portal during the online application process.

How Can Candidates Apply for COASTLAFIA PGD Admission?

Candidates are to apply through the COASTLAFIA PGD application portal.

The application process will be completed as follows:

1. Visit the COASTLAFIA PGD application portal.
2. Create an account with correct personal details.
3. Log in to the application account.
4. Pay the N20,000 application fee through the portal.
5. Complete the admission form with the required academic details.
6. Submit the form before the closing date.

Candidates should use correct details during account creation, since the same record will be used for the admission process.

When Will the COASTLAFIA PGD Portal Close?

The portal will close for all admissions on 30 September 2026.

Applicants should complete registration, payment and submission before the closing date.

Applicants should check their selected PGD course, O'Level subjects, degree or HND record, work experience details where applicable and payment status before final submission.

A candidate with HND Lower Credit, for example, should ensure that the relevant work experience details are clear, since consideration under that route depends on useful experience.
