UNIABUJA Postgraduate Admission Form for 2024/2025 Session

The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has opened applications for its postgraduate programmes.

The programmes lead to Postgraduate Diplomas, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees across various faculties and departments.

Available Programmes

UNIABUJA offers the following postgraduate programmes:

1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
2. Master of Science (MSc)
3. Master of Arts (MA)
4. Master of Education (MEd)
5. Master of Engineering (MEng)
6. Master of Public Administration (MPA)
7. Master of Philosophy (MPhil)
8. Master of Law (LLM)
9. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

Admission Requirements

General Requirements

1. At least five (5) credits, including English and Mathematics, in WASC, NECO, or GCE in not more than two sittings.
2. A Bachelor’s degree with at least a second-class lower division for Master’s programmes.
3. For PhD programmes, a Master’s degree with a minimum weighted average score of 60% (Grade B).
4. A third-class degree or HND with lower credit is required for PGD programmes.

Specific Requirements

• MBBS or BDS for MPH Community Medicine.
• Health-related degrees for MPH Sexual and Reproductive Health.
• A 500-word research proposal for PhD candidates.

Application Process

If you meet the requirements, follow these steps to apply:

1. Visit the UNIABUJA portal (https://portal.uniabuja.edu.ng).
2. Select “Postgraduate (https://portal.uniabuja.edu.ng/app_form.php?id=68aa3d95e5339fa278583866ab7e5c2551aae8611f1187299089d0d52773ffa87106a25e7a615a52ace18d4838021b9c1609de1ef3622f1cb4a0beba0c7ed25d561d5d6f345ba1edefb0be0c3dd03778&cat=cGc=#step-1)” and fill in your details (surname, first name, email, and phone number).
3. Generate an RRR payment code and pay the ₦20,500 application fee through REMITA.
4. After payment, return to the portal to complete the application form.
5. Submit the required documents, including the Transcript Request Form (Form A2), available on the portal.

Transcript Submission

1. Send an electronic copy of your transcript to SPGS@uniabuja.edu.ng.
2. Forward hard copies to:The Secretary,
   School of Postgraduate Studies,
   University of Abuja,
   P.M.B. 117, Abuja.

Payment Details

A non-refundable application fee of ₦20,500 should be paid via the REMITA platform.

Notes

• Use the University portal for all REMITA transactions to ensure proper record-keeping.
• Attach evidence of processing Form A2 to your application form.
