YSU Appoints New Acting VC & Acting Registrar

The Governing Council of Yobe State University held an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday, 15 January 2025.
The council approved key appointments for acting leadership roles in the university.
New Acting Vice Chancellor
Professor Bukar Jamri was appointed as the Acting Vice Chancellor.
His appointment will take effect on 13 February 2025.
This follows the completion of the current Vice Chancellor’s tenure.
New Acting Registrar
Mallam Garba Ahmadu GirGir was appointed as the Acting Registrar.
His appointment will begin on 15 February 2025.
This comes after the expiration of the tenure of the outgoing Registrar.
Announcement
The Chairman of the Governing Council, Alhaji Ahmed Mustapha Goniri Esq, made this announcement.
He shared the updates after the council’s meeting.
These appointments mark a new phase in the leadership of the university.
