ABSU Inter-University/Departmental Transfers Forms 2025

Abia State University (ABSU) has opened applications for students seeking to change their degree programmes or transfer from other universities.

This opportunity is available for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Eligibility for Change of Programme

• Students must have completed at least one academic session at ABSU.
• The applicant must meet the minimum entry requirements for the new programme.
• If changing due to academic challenges, a lower CGPA may be considered for a less demanding programme.
• A change of degree can only be approved once during the undergraduate programme.

Eligibility for Inter-University Transfer

• The applicant must be from a university recognised by the National Universities Commission (NUC) or the Federal Ministry of Education.
• A transcript showing results from the first and second semesters must be submitted.
• The transcript must have a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 3.50 and be certified by the Registrar.

Application Process

• The student must submit an application to the Vice-Chancellor through the Dean and Head of Department.
• Prescribed fees must be paid before processing.
• Approved students will receive official letters endorsed by the Registrar.
