KWASU Admission Update 2022/2023: Urgent Actions Required
An important update for prospective students of the Kwara State University (KWASU) regarding admission process complications. Candidates who haven't uploaded their O'level or A'level results or updated their course of study through JAMB are urged to rectify these issues. Non-compliance may lead to penalties such as portal blockage. Act promptly to secure your admission for 2022/2023.
It’s an important time for prospective students of the Kwara State University (KWASU) as the university’s admission exercise for the 2022/2023 academic session is currently underway. However, it has come to light that some complications have arisen during this process, affecting some applicants.
KWASU’s admission committee, according to information received from the admission office, has noted that the upload of successful candidates to the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) has encountered some hurdles. These issues fall under two main categories:
Category 1 (No Box): Some candidates have not uploaded their O’level or A’level results, leading to an incomplete application process.
Category 2 (Not Found): In some cases, candidates have not updated their course of study through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) system.
These hitches have impeded the smooth transition of these candidates’ details into the CAPS, thus delaying their admission process.
To address this, the university has urged all concerned Heads of Departments (HODs) to instruct the affected students to rectify these issues. Specifically, these students are to upload their results (for Category 1 issues) and/or change their course of study through JAMB (for Category 2 issues).
Once these updates are done, students are to print out their updated registration slips and submit these to their respective HODs on or before Thursday, 25th May 2023. Subsequently, HODs are to compile these slips and submit them to the admission Faculty Representative no later than Friday 26th May 2023.
Failure to comply with these directives within the stipulated timeframe will result in penalties. Please note that any student who fails to meet this deadline may have their student portal blocked. As the saying goes, “a stitch in time saves nine”. Therefore, all affected students are advised to act promptly in order to secure their admission into KWASU.
In conclusion, this is a call to urgent action for all prospective students who are yet to complete their registration process. Be proactive, follow the directives, and secure your place at KWASU for the 2022/2023 academic session.
