UNIABUJA Change of Course for 2024/2025 Prospective Students
The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) change of course process has been announced for 2024/2025 prospective students.
Candidates who applied for courses that are now full can switch to available programmes within the given time frame.
This opportunity is only open to candidates who have registered for the UNIABUJA post-UTME screening.
Change of Course Guidelines
Students are required to complete the change of course on both the JAMB portal and the UNIABUJA portal (https://portal.uniabuja.edu.ng/index.php).
All candidates must reupload their O’level results on the JAMB portal and refresh them at a nearby CBT centre.
It is advised to confirm the subject combination for the new course before making any changes.
Important Dates
The change of course process will commence on Tuesday, 10 December 2024, and close on Monday, 16 December 2024.

Medicine, Nursing, and Related Fields
Candidates who applied for the following:
- Medicine & Surgery
- Nursing
- Medical Lab Science
- Microbiology
- Pharmacy
- Biochemistry
Can change to:
- Agriculture
- Botany
- Zoology
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Geology and Mining
Computer Science
Candidates who applied for Computer Science can change to:
- Statistics
- Mathematics
- Chemistry
- Industrial Design
- Building
- Quantity Surveying
- Surveying and Geoinformatics
- Physics
- Urban and Regional Planning
- Mathematics Education
- Environmental Science Education
- Physics Education
- Chemistry Education
Law, English, and Journalism
Candidates who applied for the following:
- Law
- English
- Journalism and Media Studies
Can change to:
- History
- Broadcasting
- Development & Communication Studies
- Strategic Communication
- Advertising
- Public Relations (requires credit in Literature)
- Philosophy
- Guidance and Counselling Education
- Library and Information Science
- Social Studies Education
- Primary Education Studies
Engineering
Candidates who applied for Civil, Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering can change to:
- Railway Engineering
- Agricultural Engineering
- Urban and Regional Planning
- Quantity Surveying
- Surveying and Geoinformatics
- Building
- Industrial Design
Architecture
Candidates who applied for Architecture can change to:
- Quantity Surveying
- Surveying and Geoinformatics
- Building
- Industrial Design
Economics, Accounting, and Business Administration
Candidates who applied for the following:
- Economics
- Accounting
- Business Administration
Can change to:
- Estate Management (requires a credit in Biology for those moving from Economics)
- Urban and Regional Planning
- Entrepreneurship
- Tourism and Hospitality Management

This process is strictly for candidates already registered for UNIABUJA’s post-UTME screening.
Only candidates who adhere to the instructions will be considered for admission.
Make sure all requirements are met before completing the change of course process.
