UNIJOS Registration Procedure for 2024/2025 New Students
The registration process for newly admitted undergraduate students at the University of Jos begins on 16th December 2024 and ends on 11th January 2025.
This guide explains the steps required to complete the registration process.

Pre-Registration Steps
Check Admission Status
- Visit the UNIJOS Admission Status Portal.
- Log in by selecting “Students’ Portal” and clicking “Check Admission”.
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number and select “Get Started” to view your status.
- Download or print a copy of the displayed registration procedure for reference.
- Candidates offered a course different from their initial choice must accept the new course on the JAMB CAPS platform.
- Candidates who have yet to upload their SSCE results on the JAMB portal must do so to process their admission letter.
Pay Pre-Registration Fees
- Visit the University of Jos Students’ Portal.
- Log in with your email and password used during the Post-UTME registration.
- On your dashboard, select the “Fee Management” menu and choose “Acceptance (Pre-Registration)” from the drop-down list.
- Follow the prompts to complete the payment.
Fill Bio-Data Information
- Log in to the UNIJOS Students’ Portal.
- Click “My Profile” and select “Add/Edit Bio-Data” to complete your information.
- Print five copies of the completed Bio-Data form.
Registration Process
Clearance with Senate Affairs
Meet the Central Registration Officer in your faculty’s registration centre with:
- Original and photocopies of credentials.
- Five copies of the completed Bio-Data form.
- JAMB registration slip.
- Birth certificate or sworn declaration of age.
- Indigene certificate or Federal High Court affidavit.
- WAEC/NECO/NABTEB scratch cards.
- Affidavit of good conduct and non-membership of secret cults.
Payment of School Charges
- Log in to the Students’ Portal.
- On your dashboard, select “Fee Management” and choose “Pay School Charges” from the drop-down menu.
- Complete the payment process by following the instructions provided.
- Payment made through bank branches may take 24 hours to update on the portal.
- Once updated, your matriculation number and university email will be issued within 24 hours.
Register for Courses
- Log in to the Students’ Portal.
- Select “Course Registration” from the dashboard menu.
- Choose your courses for the academic session and print the course registration form.
- Have the form signed by your level coordinator for approval.
Departmental and Faculty Registration
Visit your department and meet the Registration Officer with:
- Clearance documents from the faculty and central registration officers.
- Copies of all previously required documents.
Present your school charges receipt to the Faculty Finance Officer for verification and stamping.
Print five copies of your signed course registration form and distribute them as required.
Hostel Accommodation
- Hostel spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis after payment of school charges.
- Visit the Directorate of Students’ Affairs with the payment receipt for documentation.
- Pay the hostel fee through the portal to confirm your booking.
- Choose a room, which will be reserved for 24 hours.
Library Registration
- Complete library registration online via the University of Jos website.
- Print five copies of the form and take them to the Bauchi Road Campus for documentation.
University Health Services
- Log in to the Students’ Medical Dashboard.
- Use your university email to sign in and pay the required medical charges.
- Fill out the health status form and upload your blood group.
- For email activation issues, visit Room 11, ICT Complex 1, Naraguta Campus.
Forgotten or Invalid Email
- If you forget your password, select “Forgot Password” on the login page.
- Enter your registered email and follow the reset instructions.
- For email issues, visit the help desk at Bauchi Road Campus.
Payment Methods
- All payments can be made online using MasterCard or Visa.
- Alternatively, payments can be made through bank branches but must be initiated on the Students’ Portal.
