RE: OBSERVATIONS ON SCHOOL CHARGES PAYMENT AND ONLINE COURSE REGISTRATION FOR 2018/2019 ACADEMIC SESSION

Sequel to the report on the above, the University Management at a meeting held on Friday, September 13, 2019 after an extensive deliberation identified six categories of students and decided as follows:

Description

Decision

1.

CATEGORY 1

Students that did not pay school charges at all.

The students were supposed to have availed themselves of the opportunity of Temporary Withdrawal from studies, and if not have lost the session.

2.

CATEGORY II

Students that made the first instalmental payment of their school charges and their payment had been rectified, but did not register their courses.

The ICTC should generate a list of affected students, forward same to the Department/Faculty for the release of their results.

3.

CATEGORY III

Students that paid within the stipulated time but did not update their payments to enable them to register their courses..

The students concerned should check their pages on the e-campus to ascertain if such payments have been reflected. If not, such students should see the Acting Director, ICTC with evidence of payments. Thereafter, the ICTC should generate a list of the cleared students, forward same to the Department/Faculty for the release of their results upon update of their payments.

4.

CATEGORY IV

Students who paid school charges within the stipulated time, the payments reflected, but did not register their courses online or did manual registration which was not forwarded to ICTC.

The ICTC should generate a list of the affected students, forward same to the Department/Faculty for the release of their results.

5.

CATEGORY V

Students who paid their school charges, payment was reflected, but some of their courses were not reflected online.

The ICTC should generate a list of the affected students, forward same to the Department/Faculty for the release of their results.

6.

CATEGORY VI

Students that made their second instalmental payment under Tenders Fees after May 20,2019.

The students concerned should see the Acting Director. ICTC, for further advice.

Students in Categories II- V, who had earlier applied for Temporary Withdrawal from studies, and by virture of the above decisions wish to cancel their applications, are requested to write to the University Senate through their Heads of Department who in turn will forward same to their respective Deans/Provost.
