UNIUYO to Disable Hostel Accommodation Portal for 2025/2026 Session (Deadline: 9 January 2026)

The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has announced the closure of its hostel accommodation portal for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The notice is contained in an internal memorandum issued by the Student Affairs Division and signed by the Accommodation Officer, Mr Offonmbuk M. Ekwere. It is addressed to all concerned students through the Office of the Accommodation Officer under the Student Affairs Division.

Closure Date and Time

UNIUYO states that the hostel accommodation portal will be disabled at midnight on Friday, 9 January 2026, following the successful conclusion of the hostel accommodation exercise.

The memo sets out a single deadline; after that point, students should expect the portal to be unavailable.

Instruction to Print Allocation Slips

According to the memorandum dated 6 January 2026, students who have secured hostel accommodation are advised to print their hostel allocation slips before the stated deadline.

Once the portal is disabled, access will no longer be available; the allocation slip should be printed in advance (students who delay may be unable to retrieve it).

Effective Closure and Compliance Note

The university states that the closure will take effect the same day, and it urges all concerned students to comply promptly to avoid inconvenience.

The direction is clear: students affected by the accommodation exercise should complete the printing step before midnight on 9 January 2026.
