The Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Distance Learning Center has exciting news for the 2023/2024 academic session. The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved four new programmes, expanding the Center’s offerings and providing more opportunities for students to learn from anywhere.

New Programmes Offered
The newly approved programmes are:
- B.Sc Mass Communication
- Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS)
- Masters in Accounting

Official Approval and Inspection
On June 11, 2024, the NUC sent an official approval letter to the Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. This approval followed a thorough inspection by an NUC panel in April. The NUC panel found that the Distance Learning Center had all the necessary resources to support these new programmes.
