Audu Bako College of Agriculture, Dambatta, ABCOAD, has released the approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The calendar sets out the dates for registration, lectures, examinations, orientation, board activities, SIWES, and the start of the next session. For students, this is the working timetable; it marks the flow of the year from March 2026 to April 2027.

First semester calendar

The first semester begins with registration.

Registration

Registration will run from Monday, 30 March to Thursday, 30 April 2026.

The college fixed four weeks for this exercise.

Lectures for fresh and returning students

Lectures for fresh and returning students will start on Monday, 20 April and end on Friday, 17 July 2026.

The period covers 15 weeks.

Matriculation orientation

Matriculation orientation will hold on Wednesday, 27 May 2026.

The exercise is scheduled for one day.

First to fifth semester examinations

Examinations for first to fifth semesters will take place from Monday, 27 July to Friday, 21 August 2026.

The exam period will last four weeks.

Resit or marked scripts

Resit or marked scripts will run from Friday, 21 August to Friday, 4 September 2026.

The college set aside two weeks for this stage.

B.O.B

B.O.B is scheduled from Monday, 21 September to Thursday, 24 September 2026.

The duration is five days.

Academic Board Meeting

The Academic Board Meeting will hold on Thursday, 8 October 2026.

It is scheduled for one day.

Second semester calendar

The second semester carries lectures, orientation, examinations, and board activities.

Lecture period

Second semester lectures will begin on Monday, 7 September and end on Friday, 4 December 2026.

The lecture period will run for 13 weeks.

SIWES orientation

SIWES orientation is fixed for 1 December 2026.

The exercise will last one day.

Second to fourth semester examinations

Examinations for second to fourth semesters will start on Monday, 14 December 2026 and end on Friday, 15 January 2027.

The calendar also includes the SIWES period for ND and OD students.

SIWES ND

SIWES for ND will run from 15 January to 15 May 2027.

SIWES OD

SIWES for OD will run from 15 January to 15 April 2027.

The period will last three months.

Start date for new academic session

The new academic session will begin on Monday, 3 April 2027.

That date closes the 2025/2026 calendar and opens the next school year.
