What the deadline extension means for teachers
The ministry made three points clear in the notice.
Existing entries remain valid
All entries already received remain valid and are still under consideration.
No resubmission is required
Teachers who have already submitted their videos do not need to take any extra step.
New entrants still have time
Teachers who have not entered yet can use the extra time to record and submit their videos.
How to join the OgunLEARN Competition
Teachers who want to take part are expected to follow the stated steps.
Record a video on OgunLEARN use
Each participant is to record a video showing how to use the OgunLEARN platform.
Log in and explain the process
The video should show the participant logging in and sharing the screen while explaining the process.
Introduce name and school
The teacher should begin by stating name and school.
Choose English or Yoruba
The video can be recorded in either English or Yoruba.
Post on Facebook and tag the official page
Participants are to post the video on their Facebook page and tag the official Ogun EDU Matters Facebook Page.
Prize for top entries
The notice states that the top 10 entries will win special prizes from MoEST.
That point gives the contest its sharp edge; only 10 entries will take the prize spots.
What teachers should keep in mind
The ministry asked participants to make their videos clear, practical and easy to follow.
That instruction matters. A clear recording, a simple explanation and a proper tag to the official page form the centre of the entry process.
