CUSTECH Gets Full NUC Accreditation for 6 Engineering Courses

Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara, Kogi State, has received full accreditation from the National Universities Commission for six Engineering programmes in its Faculty of Engineering.

The Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, FNSE, announced the development on 21 April 2026 at his office in Osara. He presented the official accreditation letter from the NUC, dated 7 April 2026 and signed by the Director of Academic Accreditation, Engr. Abraham Chundusu, on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the NUC.

List of CUSTECH Engineering Programmes with Full Accreditation

The six programmes that received full accreditation are:

• Mining Engineering
• Chemical Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Computer Engineering
• Electrical and Electronics Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

What the Vice Chancellor Said

Prof. Salawu said the accreditation reflects the commitment of the University management, staff and students to academic excellence and national standards.

He also congratulated the University community, with special praise for the staff and students of the Faculty of Engineering; he said their dedication made the result possible.

Appreciation to Kogi State Governor

Prof. Salawu also thanked the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his continued support for the progress of the University.
