FUNATO University Anthem Competition 2026: Prizes & Deadline

Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho, FUNATO, has invited interested students to submit written and voice compositions for its university anthem.

Senate has approved the call.

The selected entry will become the anthem of the university, so students with a strong written piece, a voice composition, or both, now have a clear chance to take part. The school will reward the composers of the first three entries after review by a panel set up for the task.

FUNATO University Anthem Submission Details

FUNATO is asking interested students to send entries for an anthem that the university will adopt.

The call covers written compositions and voice compositions, which means students can submit lyrics, recorded anthem work, or a fitting mix of both, as long as the entry follows the stated channel. It is a school-wide creative call, but the notice names students as the target group.

How to Submit FUNATO Anthem Entries

All entries should be sent to the Dean of Students, Professor Luqman Akinbile.

Students should make sure their entries are clear before sending them; a rough file or unclear text may not present the work well. The notice states that all entries will be reviewed by a panel formed for this purpose.

FUNATO University Anthem Prizes

The panel will select the best entry for use as the university anthem.

Composers of the first three entries will receive cash rewards as listed below:

• 1st Prize: N250,000.00
• 2nd Prize: N200,000.00
• 3rd Prize: N150,000.00

Submission Deadline

Submission closes at the close of work on Friday, 8 May 2026.

Students who want to join the FUNATO University Anthem competition should send their entries before the deadline. Late submission may shut out an otherwise strong composition.
