Igbinedion University Post UTME/DE Form 2026/2027

Igbinedion University, Okada, has invited applications from qualified candidates for first-year and Direct Entry admission into its undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session. General Entry Requirements

Candidates seeking admission into four-year degree programmes and five or six-year professional programmes must have at least five credit passes in GCE/WAEC, SSCE/NECO, or SSCE/NABTEB. These credits must include English Language and Mathematics, and candidates must get them at no more than two sittings.

Law applicants need one extra point to watch. They must have at least a credit pass in Literature in English.

Candidates awaiting GCE, NECO SSCE, WAEC SSCE, or NABTEB results may also apply, provided the results will be ready by September, when the new session starts. The university also requires candidates to show evidence of application to JAMB.

Direct Entry Admission Into 200 Level

Candidates may seek admission into 200 level for some degree programmes. Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, and Law do not fall under this Direct Entry route.

For eligible courses, candidates may apply with any of these:

• Passes in at least two Advanced Level subjects, plus one subsidiary subject in the General Certificate of Education Examination
• Diploma or NCE with credit-level pass or above in relevant subjects from a recognised school
• IJMB in relevant subjects
• First degree in a relevant field

The subjects must suit the course the candidate wants to study. Candidates must also meet the matriculation rule, which means five credit passes in GCE/WAEC SSCE/NECO SSCE/NABTEB.

UTME Requirement

Candidates applying for admission must sit for UTME and obtain the required cut-off mark. This remains a statutory rule for entry into Nigerian universities.

Rules for Transfer Students

Transfer applicants must send an official academic transcript to Igbinedion University, Okada. They must also complete a JAMB transfer form duly signed by their current university.

Age Requirement

Candidates above 22 years of age will not qualify for admission under the stated rule. Older candidates may gain admission only under special circumstances.

Accommodation

Igbinedion University provides accommodation for all students at the Okada Wonderland Estate. This gives admitted students a stated housing option within the university arrangement.

Post-UTME Screening Date and Centres

After candidates complete the online admission form, the university will screen the relevant documents submitted. The result of the screening will be sent to the candidate afterward.
