JAMB Extends 2026 Direct Entry Registration

JAMB has extended the sale of 2026 Direct Entry application forms to May 8, giving eligible candidates extra time to complete their registration.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board announced the shift in a statement signed by its communication adviser, Fabian Benjamin. The Board said the move forms part of its effort to keep the admission process open to qualified applicants who still need to register.

Why JAMB Extended The 2026 Direct Entry Form Sale

The extension gives prospective Direct Entry candidates a longer window to finish their application.

JAMB said it wants to ensure that no eligible applicant is left out of the admission process. For candidates who had trouble finding a centre or completing their details, the new closing date offers another chance to get it done.

The Board also approved five more registration centres.

New JAMB Registration Centres

To reduce pressure at existing points and improve access in key locations, JAMB has approved the following centres:

The Human Development Initiatives centre at Grace House, Iwaya, Lagos, is expected to begin operations on April 30, 2026.

JAMB Registration Offices Still Open

JAMB also confirmed that its offices across Nigeria remain open for registration.

Candidates can still use JAMB offices, Professional Registration Centres, PRCs, and Professional Testing Centres, PTCs, to complete the Direct Entry process. The Board urged applicants to use the extended period wisely and finish their applications before the new deadline.

May 8 is now the date to watch.
