Crescent University HR Personnel Vacancy: Requirements and How to Apply

Crescent University, Abeokuta has invited qualified candidates to apply for the position of Human Resources Personnel.

The role sits within the Establishment Unit of the Registry, where the successful candidates will support staff matters, records, training, welfare and other human resource duties under university rules, public service regulations and accepted HR practice.

About the Crescent University HR Personnel Role

The Human Resources Personnel will handle administrative and HR support for the Establishment Unit.

This position suits candidates who understand staff records, HR documents and personnel administration; it also calls for someone who can use digital record systems without constant supervision.

Key Duties

The successful candidates will manage staff records and support the full employment cycle, including appointments, promotions, transfers, retirements and exits.

They will also process HR documents linked to leave, discipline, training and welfare.

Other duties include keeping an accurate employee database with HRM software, working with departments and external agencies, and taking part in staff training and development programmes.

The Registrar or Head of Unit may assign other related duties.

Requirements

Applicants need a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or a related discipline.

They must also have at least 2 years of cognate experience in HR or administration, with preference for experience gained in a tertiary school or public sector setting.

Candidates should know HR processes, personnel administration and establishment procedures. They should also use HRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, databases and digital record systems with confidence.

The role requires a tech-savvy person who pays attention to records and can work with little supervision.
