NAF Announces DSSC 34/2025 Successful Candidates, Training Begins 18 April

The Nigerian Air Force has announced the successful candidates for Direct Short Service Commission Course 34/2025. This follows the Selection Board Interview held at NAF Base Kaduna from 12 January to 8 February 2026.

The names of the successful candidates have been published on the official NAF recruitment updates page for further information.

When the training will begin

Successful candidates are to begin a six-month Basic Cadet Training programme at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Afaka, Kaduna, on Saturday, 18 April 2026.

That date now stands as the next step for all listed candidates; the training will run at the NDA in Afaka, Kaduna.

What successful candidates must bring

The Nigerian Air Force states that all candidates must report with their original Credentials for documentation and admission.

The requirement is direct and clear. Candidates are expected to appear with their original documents for the admission process.

Reporting deadline and forfeiture

All successful candidates must report no later than 6:00 pm on Monday, 20 April 2026.

Any candidate who fails to report by that time will forfeit the offer automatically. The Service makes that point plainly; there is no extension stated in the announcement.

Status after training

The Nigerian Air Force also states that listed candidates will attain the status of NAF personnel only after they complete the training and are commissioned as officers.

That means the published list marks selection, not final entry into service. The full status comes after training and commissioning.
