Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano, has received full accreditation from the National Universities Commission for three academic programmes under Computing.
The approval covers Computer Science, Cyber Security, and Software Engineering.
NUC Approves Three KHAIRUN Computing Programmes
KHAIRUN received the approval through an official letter dated 7 April 2026 and signed by the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission.
The accreditation exercise took place in October/November 2025. After the review, the NUC granted full accreditation status to the three Computing programmes listed by the university.
For parents, students, and applicants watching the school closely, this gives a clear update on the academic standing of these courses.
Programmes Granted Full Accreditation
The three programmes approved by the NUC are:
- Computer Science
- Cyber Security
- Software Engineering
Each programme gained full accreditation status.
What Full NUC Accreditation Means
Full accreditation means the NUC found that the programmes met required national standards.
The review covered curriculum content, staffing, infrastructure, learning resources, and academic delivery; those areas form part of the checks used for Nigerian university programmes.
The accredited status also remains valid for five years.
KHAIRUN Management Reacts
The Management of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University expressed gratitude to the Proprietor, Governing Council, Vice-Chancellor, staff, students, and stakeholders.
Their support, according to the university, contributed to the success recorded during the accreditation exercise.
A school does not reach this point through one office alone. It takes planning, teaching staff, student support, and steady attention to academic checks.
What This Means for KHAIRUN
The university said the development strengthens its position as one of Nigeria’s fast-rising private universities with a focus on technology-driven disciplines.
Those fields, according to the school, support the training of skilled graduates for national development.
KHAIRUN also reassured parents, students, and the public that it will continue to expand quality academic programmes while maintaining standards in teaching, research, and community service.
Congratulations go to the KHAIRUN community on this accreditation success.
