KWASU CTVET begins VTE lectures, practicals and nylon submissions

The Centre for Technical, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training, CTVET, at Kwara State University, KWASU, Malete, has released the schedule for lectures, practical sessions, and nylon recycling submissions for students in Vocational and Technical Education, VTE, courses.

The notice came through an internal memorandum signed by the Director, Prof. Mubaraq Sami. It sets out the dates, study mode, venues, and other steps students must follow for the 2026 activities.

Lecture date for VTE 204 and VTE 304

Lectures for VTE 204 and VTE 304 will begin on Monday, 13 April 2026.

The Centre stated that these lectures will hold only through the university’s Learning Management System, LMS, Portal. Students are expected to log in and follow the online sessions from the start date.

Practical sessions start on 20 April

Practical sessions will begin on Monday, 20 April 2026.

They will run from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The listed venues are:

The timetable covers students across the named campuses; special arrangements have also been made for students at Osi and Ilesha Baruba.

Tasks for VTE304 and VTE204 students

The memorandum gave separate directions for students in VTE304 and VTE204.

Students in VTE304 will take part in the production and laying of interlocking bricks. They will also engage in paint production and design.

Students in VTE204 are required to visit a designated platform and choose their preferred specialised skill area.

Nylon recycling submission schedule

The Centre also released the recycling nylon submission schedule.

Submission will run from 13 April to 8 May 2026. Students are to submit from Monday through Friday within that period.

Attendance is mandatory

CTVET made its position Plain; attendance and active participation in all activities are mandatory for successful course completion.

The Centre warned that failure to comply may affect final assessments. For students, the message is direct and clear: follow the timetable, attend the sessions, and take part in each required activity.

What students should note

Students are expected to adhere strictly to all schedules released by the Centre.

That includes the lecture start date, the practical timetable, the nylon submission window, and the course-specific tasks for VTE204 and VTE304.
