NECO 2026 SSCE Internal Registration Deadline & Portal Closure Date

The National Examinations Council has announced the registration deadlines for the 2026 Senior School Certificate Examination Internal.

The notice concerns the general public and school administrators handling candidate registration for the 2026 NECO SSCE Internal.

NECO 2026 SSCE Internal Registration Dates

NECO released the timetable through an internal memo from its Registration Department.

Schools should note the dates carefully; the Council has set a short schedule, and the portal will not remain open after the stated closure time.

Normal Registration Deadline

Normal registration for the 2026 NECO SSCE Internal will close on Monday, 25 May 2026.

School administrators should complete regular registration before this date.

Late Registration Window

Late registration will run from Tuesday, 26 May 2026, to Friday, 29 May 2026.

This gives schools a brief period to complete pending entries after normal registration ends.

Final Portal Closure

The NECO registration website will close at 11:59 pm on Friday, 29 May 2026.

After that time, schools will no longer have access for the 2026 SSCE Internal registration process, according to the stated schedule.

NECO Tells Schools to Register Candidates Early

The Council’s Director, Dr Charles E. Udoh, urged schools to hasten the registration of their candidates.

He asked stakeholders to follow the timetable, as NECO stated that no further extension would come after the 29 May deadline.

School administrators should check their candidate lists, complete all pending entries, and avoid leaving registration until the last day.
