ABU Samaru College of Agric Part-time Certificate Admission 2025

Samaru College of Agriculture, under the Division of Agricultural Colleges (DAC), Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has opened admissions for its one-year part-time certificate programmes for 2025.

The application form will be available from Monday, 20th January to Friday, 28th February 2025.

Lectures will begin on Monday, 3rd March 2025.

Available Programmes

• Sustainable Crop Production and Management
• Sustainable Livestock Production Management
• Horticulture and Landscape Management
• Catering and Hotel Management

Programme Structure

• Classroom Learning – 30%
• Field Training and Practical Work – 70%
• Duration – One academic year (two semesters)
• Certification – Candidates must complete coursework, practicals, exams and a final project with a minimum pass mark of 60%.

Admission Requirements

Candidates must have at least five passes in any of the following subjects:

• English Language
• Mathematics
• Agricultural Science
• Biology
• Physics
• Chemistry
• Economics

For Catering and Hotel Management, candidates can also present Home Economics as one of the five passes.

All results must be from WAEC, GCE, NECO or equivalent and obtained in no more than two sittings.

Fees

• School Fees – N38,500 per course
• Application Form Fee – N2,500
