AKISAN USA Scholarship Guide 2025/2026

The Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria, USA, Inc. (AKISAN USA) has opened its 2025/2026 scholarship programme to support Akwa Ibom students in the United States and in Nigeria. This yearly support helps students stay focused on school, ease money stress and feel proud of their hard work.

Award:

• 10 recipients
• 500 US dollars for each student

Eligibility:

• Must be an Akwa Ibom indigene
• Must be currently enrolled in a college or university in the United States
• Must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0
• Must provide a 2024 or recent academic transcript

This USA category is for students who are already in higher education and keeping strong grades. The support can help with books, fees, transport or other small study needs.

2. Scholarship for Akwa Ibom students in Nigeria

Award:

• 62 recipients in total
• 100,000 naira for each student
• Two students will be picked from each Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State

Eligibility:

• Must be an Akwa Ibom indigene studying in a Nigerian tertiary school
• Must provide a certificate of origin
• Must provide a transcript or WAEC result for first-year students

This Nigeria category reaches students across all Local Government Areas. It gives space for students in universities, polytechnics and colleges, as long as they are from Akwa Ibom and can show the needed documents.
