AKSU Academic Calendar 2025/2026: Second Semester Dates and Exam Directives

Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) has released the approved academic calendar for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic session.

The calendar covers student arrival, registration, lectures, Students' Week, examinations and departure from campus.

What has AKSU released for the second semester?

AKSU management has released the approved schedule of academic activities for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic session, with dates for resumption, registration, lectures and examinations now stated for students.

The calendar is for all students of the university.

When will AKSU students resume and register?

All students are expected to arrive on campus on Friday, 29 May 2026, while registration will begin on Monday, 1 June 2026.

Regular registration will close on Friday, 3 July 2026.

Students who have registration issues should treat Friday, 3 July 2026 as the regular registration deadline; the late registration period will be from Monday, 6 July to Friday, 31 July 2026.

When will lectures start and end at AKSU?

Lectures will begin across all departments on Wednesday, 3 June 2026.

The lecture period will run for 15 weeks and will end on Tuesday, 15 September 2026, according to the approved calendar released by the university management.

Which student activities will come before examinations?

AKSU has also fixed dates for campus activities before the second semester examinations.

These activities fall after the close of lectures and before the start of the second semester examinations.

When will AKSU second semester examinations start?

The second semester sessional examinations and Computer-Based Tests (CBT) will start on Monday, 21 September 2026.

The university states that the examinations and CBT will run for two weeks, with the final examination date fixed for Friday, 9 October 2026.

All students will be expected to leave the university campuses on Saturday, 10 October 2026, after the end of the examination period.

How will final year examinations be scheduled?

Final year examination papers will be taken strictly during morning sessions.

Examinations for students at other levels will take place during afternoon sessions until all final year examinations have been fully completed.

Students may use the approved calendar to plan registration, class attendance and examination preparation with fewer date conflicts.
