Akwa Ibom State Mid-Term Break for Primary, Secondary Schools
The government of Akwa Ibom State has announced a mid-term break for all public and private primary and secondary schools in the state.

The government of Akwa Ibom State has announced that all primary and secondary schools in the state, both public and private, will be closed on Thursday, June 16th and Friday, June 17th, 2022, for the Midterm break.
This is in accordance with the direction given by Governor Udom Emmanuel to ensure that all primary and secondary schools, both public and private, across the state have a single academic calendar for the various school sessions.
A press release signed by the Honorable Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Idongesit Etiebet, urged parents and guardians to take notice and ensure that their children and wards observe the holidays. She advised parents to engage their children in useful activities to prevent them from lingering aimlessly in the streets.
The Education Commissioner wishes all Akwa Ibom Students and Pupils a fruitful holiday and asks them to behave well and use the time to read and complete their assignments for improved performance.
Academic activities will resume on Monday, June 20, 2022, to continue the third term of the 2021-2022 school year.
