ReAct Africa has announced the fourth cohort of the AMR Leaders Program for Tertiary Students in Africa. The programme targets tertiary-level students studying in Africa who want to learn and take part in actions that reduce antimicrobial resistance (AMR); applications are currently open.
What the Programme Is
The AMR Leaders Program for Tertiary Students in Africa is a hybrid skills-building programme. ReAct Africa implements it; the structure combines virtual lectures, webinars, group discussions, interactive constructive sessions and experiential learning.

- Trigger interest and commitment to AMR mitigation among tertiary-level students; increase prioritisation of AMR-related careers and support the emergence of AMR champions across disciplines.
- Strengthen youth voices in AMR mitigation at regional and global levels by bringing efforts together through multidisciplinary engagement and collaborative interventions.
