Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) has released the resumption date for the continuation of the 2024/2025 academic session after the Christmas and New Year break.
Students and staff are expected to take note of the schedule to ensure timely participation in academic activities.

According to the COOU Academic Calendar, the following events will occur after the holiday:
- Thursday, 2nd January 2025: End of Christmas and New Year break.
- Saturday, 4th January 2025: All students return to campus.
- Tuesday, 7th January 2025: Lectures begin for new and returning students.
- Friday, 31st January 2025: Registration closes for new students.
- Tuesday, 4th February 2025: Late registration begins for new students.
- Wednesday, 5th February 2025: 132nd Senate meeting.
- Friday, 7th February 2025: Revision starts for returning students.
- Friday, 14th February 2025: Matriculation ceremony for new students.
- Tuesday, 18th February 2025: Orientation for new students.
- Thursday, 20th February 2025: University-wide quiz for new students.
- Tuesday, 25th February 2025: First semester examination begins for returning students.
