Admission Requirements for Benue State College of Nursing Sciences

Candidates interested in the 3-year General Nursing Science Programme must meet the following requirements:

  1. Possess five credits at SSCE, GCE, WAEC, NECO or NABTEB, obtained in no more than two sittings. These credits must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  2. NABTEB results cannot be combined with results from other examination bodies.
  3. Be at least 18 years old.
  4. Hold a statutory declaration of age or birth certificate.
  5. Provide a certificate of origin.
  6. Submit two recent passport-sized photographs.

Application Cost and Payment Procedure

The cost of the application form for the General Nursing Science Programme is ₦15,000.

Payments must be made to the following account:

Applicants should note that POS or cash payments will not be accepted.

After payment, candidates must take the teller to the Office of the Permanent Secretary at the Benue State Ministry of Health and Human Services to obtain the application form.

Application Submission and Aptitude Test

Once completed, the application form should be returned to the same office along with photocopies of all relevant documents.

The aptitude test will be held at the Benue State College of Nursing Sciences, Makurdi and candidates are required to arrive at least 30 minutes before the test begins.
