Applicatiuons are invited form suitably qualified candidates for admission the School of Postgraduate Studies, Benson Idahosa University (BIU), postgraduate programmes for the 2020/2021 academic session.

Benson Idahosa University Postgraduate Admission General Requirements

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D): A Master degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum average score of 60% obtained from Benson Idahosa University, or any University recognized by the Senate of Benson Idahosa University, OR for an M.Phil., a minimum average score of 55% obtained from Benson Idahosa University, or any University recognized by the Senate of Benson Idahosa University.

Master of Science, Arts, Education and Professional Masters: A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second Class honours (lower division) obtained from Benson Idahosa University, OR any University recognized by the Senate of Benson Idahosa University, OR an appropriate equivalent with suitable PGD grade.

Postgraduate Diploma Programme: A Bachelor’s degree obtained from Benson Idahosa University, OR any University recognized by the Senate of Benson Idahosa University, OR an appropriate equivalent.

Benson Idahosa University Postgraduate Programmes Duration

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D): A minimum of 3 academic sessions for direct Ph.D candidates OR 4 academic sessions for M.Phil. candidates (Including Course Work, Seminars, Publications and Thesis).

Masters: A minimum of 2 academic sessions (including Course Work, Seminar and Dissertation).

Postgraduate Diploma: A minimum of 1 academic session (including Course Work and Project).

How to Apply for Benson Idahosa University Postgraduate Admission Form

The hard copy of the Application Form is obtained from the School of Postgraduate Studies upon the payment into First Bank Account, 2013639774, BIU Postgraduate School, of the following:

• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D): N20,300 (Twenty thousand, three hundred naira only),
• Masters: N 15,300 (Fifteen thousand, three hundred naira only), and
• Postgraduate Diplomas: N10,300 (Ten thousand, three hundred naira only).
