The Bayelsa Medical University (BMU) has reached the close of its 2023/2024 academic session, bringing a transition to the next academic year.
The university’s Senate, during its 51st regular meeting on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, discussed this matter and made important decisions regarding the upcoming holidays and resumption dates.
Important Dates for BMU Students
The holiday for the 2023/2024 academic session begins on Friday, October 11, 2024.
First-year students (100 Level) will resume for verification, registration, and enrolment on Monday, November 4, 2024, for the start of the 2024/2025 academic session.
Returning students are expected to resume on Friday, November 15, 2024.
Registration for returning students will officially commence on Monday, November 18, 2024.
Action Points for Faculty and Students
All Deans of Faculty and Heads of Department are required to note these dates to ensure smooth planning and execution.
All students, except those on clinical postings, must vacate their halls of residence by Sunday, October 13, 2024.
