COOU Matriculation Ceremony 2025/2026: Date, Time, Campuses and Party Ban

Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), formerly Anambra State University (ANSU), has announced the date and plan for its 2025/2026 Matriculation Ceremony. The event is scheduled in line with the University's academic calendar as approved by Senate.

The matriculation comes up on Friday, 13th February, 2026 (Fri, 13 Feb 2026). It will run as a campus-based ceremony, not a single central gathering.

COOU matriculation date and campuses

COOU will hold the matriculation at two campuses:

The matriculation is campus-based; each campus runs its own programme on the same day (same rules, different grounds).

Both Igbariam and Uli campuses will start at 11:00am and close at 4:00 pm; students should plan their movement around these hours.

Party ban on matriculation day

The University Management has banned the holding of any party within the University throughout matriculation day. Any staff or student who violates the directive will face disciplinary action; the instruction is plain and it applies across campus spaces.

Message to fresh students

COOU extended goodwill to its fresh students ahead of the ceremony; freshmen should take note of the date, time and campus arrangement (and keep it simple).
