DELSU Christmas Break Dates for Staff and Students 2025
Delta State University, Abraka, has approved a Christmas holiday for all staff and students.
A special bulletin released on Tuesday, 16 December 2025, confirmed the decision. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba, announced that the break will begin on Monday, 22 December 2025, and will run until Friday, 2 January 2026.
The notice explained that some key units of the university will remain active during the holiday. These units will handle essential duties while teaching and routine office work pause.
Full academic and administrative activities will restart on Monday, 5 January 2026. Students are expected to return to campus before this date to prepare for lectures and other university tasks.
Speaking on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, and Management, the Vice-Chancellor shared Christmas greetings with the university community. He stated that the holiday period should allow time for rest, quiet thought, and fresh energy for the new year ahead.
The statement came from the Public Relations Unit under the Directorate of Ceremonials, Information and Public Relations, Office of the Vice-Chancellor.
