DELSU Matriculation Ceremony 2024/2025

Delta State University (DELSU) has scheduled the matriculation ceremony for new students for the 2024/2025 academic session.

The event will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at both Abraka and Oleh campuses.

Matriculation Schedule

Abraka Campus

• Time: 9.00 a.m.
• Venue: Convocation Arena, Site III, Abraka
• Note: Matriculating students must be seated by 8.30 a.m.

Oleh Campus

• Time: 11.00 a.m.
• Venue: 1000-Seating Capacity Lecture Theatre, Faculty of Engineering
• Note: Matriculating students must be seated by 10.30 a.m.

Gown Collection and Return

• Faculty Officers will collect gowns from the Senate Division for distribution.
• Matriculating students should collect gowns from their Faculty Officers starting Monday, 27 January 2025, between 8.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.
• Gown collection ends on Friday, 31 January 2025.

Return of Gowns

• Gowns must be returned in good condition to the department by Monday, 3 February 2025.
• A penalty of ₦1,000 will apply for each day a gown is not returned.
• A replacement cost of ₦10,000 will be charged for gowns not returned or damaged.
• Gowns must not be rented out to photographers. Security operatives will confiscate gowns involved in such acts, and violators will face sanctions.

Attendance and Guidelines

• Attendance is mandatory for all new students.
• Lateness will not be allowed.
• Faculty Officers must ensure that matriculating students comply with all instructions.

Invitation

All Principal Officers, Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments, staff, students, and other members of the university community are invited to attend.

This ceremony marks an important milestone for all new students.
